Patanjali is said to be a manifestation of the cosmic serpent Ananta, and to have fallen from the heavens in the form of a small snake into the open palms of his virginal mother. Patanjali is referred to as the father of modern yoga. He is the author of the Yoga Sutras, a short compilation of teachings on the practice of Raja Yoga. Thought to be a great dancer he is worshipped by some as the patron saint of dance.
This pendant is quite large and can double as a small statue for your alter. I actually have several of these around the house and one hanging from my rearview mirror as reminders to stay focused on my yoga practice.
