I Ching Pendant

Taoist teachers usually speak in metaphors and use symbols to describe their philosophy.  They believe that the Tao (the Way) cannot be put into words.  It is the natural flow of nature and cannot be defined. The Taoist symbol pictured represents the I-Ching.  The I-Ching (Book of Changes) is said to be the oldest known book in the world.  It is a system based on the concept of Yin and Yang that involves tossing special coins and looking for the answers that they provide.  It is used to stimulate the intuition and to help answer questions that logic alone cannot handle.
Meditation on the I-Ching symbol can help us to develop and use our innate intuitive powers.
